One of the things I love about my computer is that its programs are all "fully integrated" that is... they're so compatible, they practically flow from one right into the next with very little hoop jumping. This is a good thing. Last night Kevin and I realized that actually our whole life is like that...
We had a babysitter lastnight (woohoo!) and we went out for a dinner date. We went to a wonderful little cafe, which some friends had told us about. We had a fun time eating yummy pizza and kebabs. The thing is, as we thought about our upcoming week in comparison with our 'to-do' list, we realized that it would be good to handle a few bits of work lastnight too.
So, when we finished dinner we walked to the nearby home of some teammates and delivered an envelope to the visiting teacher who is staying with them today. We visited with them for a minute and then went on to make another envelope delivery.
On the way to the next apartment, we stopped to pick up some bread at our friends' request, and while we were there remembered that at home we're out of toilet paper, so we grabbed some of that too. We continued to our second stop, delivered the envelope, delivered the bread, hashed over some logistical details related to current ministry, and went on our way.
From there, we got on the bus and rode to McDonald's for ice cream and coffee as the perfect ending to our date! Then, we stopped at the grocery store before hopping the bus to get home.
Doesn't it sound like a dream date to you? You know what strikes me about it all? It didn't seem strange. It was our "alone time". It was our "night out". It was our "hot date". And it was a wonderful evening... just one in this 'fully integrated' life. ;)

I love it! It sounds like what my man and I do...every two weeks we go together to get groceries and do any other errands. Sometimes for a treat we'll go out for a meal, or else buy some fun snacks or something, but we always have a great time!
